REASONS: He killed a little boy and hung him over a pole just to bait out Jude Law's sniper character. Konig didn't know the full story as why he thought he killed the russian sniper but it was actually Joseph Fiennes who sacrificed himself to make amends to Law's character. Then Konig made the crucial sniper mistake; he revealed himself. When he saw the russian sniper had him dead to right, he slowly took off his cap and let it happen. A fitting end to a Nazi Sniper.
